Understanding HowBody S580
read the body.
Multifrequency bioimpedance analysis and 3D scanning: two technologies at
service of a more complete reading of the body.
Bioimpedance analysis and 3D scanning: two
complementary technologies.
The S580 combines two complementary approaches: multi-frequency bioimpedance analysis for body composition, and 3D scanning to generate a visual model of the body and track its changes over time.
DSM-BIA 8 electrodes
Multifrequency bioelectrical impedance analysis uses a very low-intensity electrical current to estimate several body composition parameters. The eight electrodes (hands and feet) allow for detailed segmental analysis, and multiple frequencies are used to assess the body more precisely than with a single-frequency measurement.
Real-time 3D scanning
3D scanning generates a realistic 3D model of the body by rotating it on the platform. This allows for circumference measurements, the generation of avatars from multiple angles, and the comparison of bodily changes over time. This visual dimension enhances the interpretation of results and the perception of progress.
Measure, compare, adjust.
HowBody keeps track of the last 8 records to monitor changes in weight, muscle mass, and body fat percentage. This historical data helps to better interpret trends and adjust the coaching program.

Postural analysis is not limited to a static image. HowBody generates 3D avatars seen from multiple angles and includes 9 body circumference parameters: arms, chest, waist, hips, thighs, legs.
